Reimagining Vintage for a Modern Bridal Moment

Reimagining Vintage for a Modern Bridal Moment

For Ilana’s wedding weekend in Mayakoba, Mexico, Isa had the pleasure of reworking a vintage 1980s Naeem Khan gown into a custom bridal look designed to reflect the spirit of the celebration. Inspired by the lively, plaza-style setting of El Pueblito and the surrounding Mexican culture, the original piece was transformed into a demi-cup bralette and tea-length silhouette. The result was a modern, playful, and perfectly suited bridal look for a multi-day destination wedding.

This bespoke redesign balanced respect for the vintage original design with Ilana’s vision for something fresh and celebratory. The final look was featured in a recent editorial by Over The Moon, highlighting the beauty of thoughtful restoration and custom tailoring in bridal design.
