A rotating selection of vintage dresses, designer pieces, and hand-dyed silk slips.

These garments are not listed online. Each piece is singular, sourced from decades of collecting from flea markets around the world, and the creative archive of Lorraine Kirke’s iconic New York vintage institution, Geminola.

This is an intimate shopping experience for collectors, and the vintage obsessed who appreciate rare, historical, one-of-one garments.

New York fashion heritage now exclusive to our Bedford Atelier.

Founded by Lorraine Kirke in the West Village in 2004, Geminola became a cult destination for stylists, actresses, Vogue editors, and fashion insiders who collected vintage clothing like art.

Known for sourcing antique lace, discarded silks, and flea-market textiles from around the world, then reconstructed or over-dyed into one-of-one garments that evoked the feminine, the unruly, and the deeply romantic.

You’ve seen Geminola before, even if you didn’t realize it. If the name feels familiar, it’s because Geminola has been weaved through pop culture like thread. Pieces have appeared on screen and in our collective fashion memory, worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City, immortalized in Jemima Kirke’s infamous surprise wedding scene as Jessa in HBO’s Girls, spotted on red carpets and album covers, and pulled for countless Vogue editorials and celebrity fittings throughout the 2000s and beyond.

Geminola is the vintage shop insiders whispered about, the place stylists hunted for treasure, the destination you only knew if you knew.

These vintage pieces are now exclusively available to shop for the first time since Geminola’s West Village Perry St. doors closed in 2016, and through the atelier they can also be fitted, restored, cleaned, or delicately mended all in-house.

With Isa’s couture approach to tailoring, each garment is treated as archive, handled with sensitivity, can be fitted to your body, and revived so it may continue its story with you.

Geminola pieces are available in person only at our Bedford Atelier by appointment or during select walk-in hours.

Because each garment is one-of-one and not listed online, we recommend booking a fitting to view the full rotating collection.
